Each season we have folks who sign up for trips hoping that others will choose to join their dates, either to bring the cost of the trip down or simply to meet other interesting people on their travels. On this page you will find trips during the 2008 season that are currently seeking members. Occassionaly we reduce the prices on these trips to encourage participation and more fun for all!
If you're short on time but still want to experience the best Alaska has to offer, this is the trip for you! Fly into the wilderness in a bush plane and start your river tripin a lake full of Icebergs at the toe of the Nizina Glacier. Follow the Nizina River all the way to its end where it joins the Chitina River. Pass beneath mile-high cliffs, hike to giant waterfalls and enjoy the fun Class III rapids of the Nizina Canyon before meeting your bush plane and returning to McCarthy.
Barry is a lawyer from Hawaii who, along with 2 friends, will be hiking from Skolai Pass to the Nizina Glacier over the seven days prior to the start of the river trip. They will be looking forward to the luxury of river travel after their challenging journey and would love to find a few more interesting people to join them as they head downstream.
Our August 6-Day Copper River trip is often one of our most popular adventures and often fills up early, but this year we still have plenty of room and would love to find some more folks to join in the fun. We have taken $100 off the list price just to add a little incentive!
