Nizina Glacier: This glacier marks the end of your backpacking trip, and the start of your rafting journey!

High Alpine Passes and Splashy River Rapids!
For those of you who can’t decide whether to explore Wrangell-St. Elias National Park by foot or by the river, this is the perfect trip for you! This exciting multi-sport trip offers it all! Start out with a beautiful plane ride into Skolai Pass, where you’ll spend the next seven days crossing high alpine tundra, flowing rivers, breathtaking glaciers, and rocky ridges. You’ll finish your backpacking portion of the trip by hiking down the Nizina Glacier and ending at the Nizina Lake.
From here, you and your Alaska guide can put down your packs and let the river do all the work! Rest those legs while you float down the Nizina River, under towering rock walls weeping spectacular waterfalls. After three days, you’ll pull up on the riverbar and wait for your pick-up vehicle – and enjoy another beautiful bush plane ride back to town!
